The Business System Analyst (BSA) is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects within the Corporate Portfolio that primarily address accounting and finance. The BSA oversees all aspects of projects which includes review, analysis, and evaluation of business systems and user needs. The BSA documents requirements, defines scope and objectives, and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. The BSA monitors and summarizes progress of projects, builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects. Finally, the BSA prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. The BSA should be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures, and must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A BSA must demonstrate a wide degree of creativity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with the business to define processes and identify opportunities for IS to support critical business strategies.
Establishes baseline process metrics and evaluates end results to ensure target goals are met.
Effectively coordinate ongoing communication between team and management.
Oversees the development life cycle to ensure business requirements are met.
Identifies and ensures all compliance requirements are met.
Conducts pre and post cost benefit analysis for all projects.
Assist Lead with any issues and/or tasks.
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of internal IS systems and software applications.
Ensures that projects meet or beat deadlines and objectives.
Trains other members of the organization from his/her knowledge.
Promotes teamwork and cooperation. Provides proper coordination between all parties involved.
Communicates effectively with business unit, management and staff.
Demonstrates commitment to availability and customer service.
Adheres to Company standards and methodology.
Adheres to company confidentiality and security requirements.
Consistently demonstrates a high level of integrity and professionalism.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Accounting strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree with strong knowledge and experience in Accounting will be considered.
10+ years' experience
Experience in JDE or another accounting software
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily.
Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures which relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Ability to perform a variety of tasks that will include leading and directing the work of others with a high degree of creativity and latitude.
