We are seeking a Scheduling Engineer to join the Project Metrics Div of Project Management Office Dept.
The Project Metrics Division (PMD) is responsible for providing cost engineering, planning and scheduling, and project claims and dispute functional support and guidance companywide for Saudi Aramco suite of projects. PMD provides mentoring and training of project controls functions, project support from initiation to close-out through analysis of project status reports, schedules, and funding cash flow, and ensuring implementation and compliance of project control procedures and company best practices.
The Scheduling Engineer primary role is to provides companywide advice on cost engineering and scheduling matters, support Saudi Aramco PMTs, review project status reports, mentor and provide training in project controls, and exercise implementation and compliance of project control procedures.
Minimum Requirements: As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
You will have Seven (7) years, experience in planning and scheduling, including at least 3 years in either petro-chemical, construction, heavy or high technology industries. International experience highly desirable. Experience in Critical Path Network Analysis
You must be able to communicate fluently in both oral and written English.
Duties & Responsibilities: You will be required to perform the following:
Participate in the planning for, and preparation of, planning and scheduling control systems and other practices to give Engineering and Construction supervisors means to evaluate and improve the efficiency of their project execution.
Provide staff guidance to Engineering and Construction supervisors in one or more areas of planning and scheduling expertise by analyzing and evaluating all pertinent data.
Review work of scheduling analysts under his direction, check that reports and data developed are in accordance with company procedures and requirements, and makes recommendations for future study or revisions.
Participate in the analysis of major capital projects to plan the most effective execution sequence in light of experience and current industry practices.
Discuss, coordinate and resolve long term and short term planning and scheduling problems with personnel throughout the Company and with contractor organizations. Acts as technical consultant when required.
Assist in the technical evaluation of contractors relative to their expertise in planning and scheduling and analyze in detail performance relative to planning, reporting methods and forecasting of Aramco contractors.
Evaluate the planning and scheduling information collected from Project Management Teams or contractors and provide technical advice to plan potential corrective action.
Provide staff assistance in the preparation and maintenance of the Master Scheduling System in support of Aramco's capital program planning effort and/or other planning and scheduling reports, procedures and services.
Evaluate the effectiveness and appropriateness of planning and scheduling information collected from project teams or contractors and advises of significant exceptions to proposed and approved conditions and recommends corrective actions.
Assist in or initiates orientation and training of Scheduling Analysts and Professional Development Program employees.
Utilize Computer application to perform scheduling and scheduling analysis on platforms such as Primavera.
