Take advantage of this opportunity to join UT Southwestern Medical Center – ranked one of the “Best Places to Work” by the Dallas Business Journal. Due to our continued growth, UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an experienced Transition Project Manager within our Lean Six Sigma department.
The Transition Project Manager - University Hospitals drives a successful transition of hospital services to the CUH 3rd Tower Expansion by facilitating, managing, and coordinating activities utilizing a standard project management approach. S/he develops and implements timelines with deliverables as necessary to communicate and accomplish initiatives. Other responsibilities include:
Develop and implement transition and post occupancy initiatives directed by the CUH Expansion Steering Committee.
Develop and implement financial reports, budget update reports and other resource and activity status monitoring tools related to the expansion transition and renovation initiatives.
Support CUH Expansion Transition Committees as needed to coordinate activities.
Perform Project Management activities that include organizing and expediting project deliverables and communication.
Monitor progress of transition activities and communicates gaps that need to be addressed.
Manage and coordinate the Logistics, Fit-up, Workflows, Move Plan, Day in the Life, Orientation and Training and Staffing initiatives with staff, construction and vendors.
Perform Workflow analysis that include process mapping, system analysis, problem solving, testing solutions, implementation and control planning and tracking.
Promote a responsive, supportive environment through work behaviors that demonstrate a service excellence orientation.
Ensure accordance with all Policies and Procedures and identifies gaps that need attention.
Effectively communicates potential and identified barriers and escalates key opportunities for improvement to leadership in a timely manner.
S/he will perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree; MBA, MHA, MPA or other relevant graduate studies degree preferred.
Seven (7) to Ten (10) years consulting and/or large scale project/program management experience preferably in a health care environment.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required or ability to achieve either within six months of hire.
Proficient in MS Office Suite (in particular, Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) and other project management, spreadsheets and planning software.
Proven experience in strategic planning; risk management and change management.
Exceptional communicator in both written and oral form; excellent business writing skills and able to develop and deliver effective presentations for various audiences.
High level of diplomacy, patience, and flexibility.
